Tuna Lane Beach Access for the City of Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, Virginia

Tuna Lane beach access is the prototype for approximately 10 similar accesses for the residents of Sandbridge. The access adheres to A.D.A. standards to allow handicapped persons easier access to the beach. The composite decking was used to eliminate warping of deck boards and safeguarding bare feet from splinters. The plantings are an important factor in preserving the dunes and contributing to the aesthetic quality of the site. The bike rack performs a utilitarian, as well as a decorative function.
