Beaver Dam Bridge Replacement, Chesapeake, VA
Project consists of removal of existing bridge structure and the installation of a 32′ x 32′ precast concrete bridge structure. This includes sheet piles, cast-in-place concrete footers, and over 750 c.y. of backfill. Other items include the installation of 18″ & 24″ RCP, and the replacement of the existing asphalt road.
Shore Drive Pedestrian Crossing at Lake Joyce, Virginia Beach, VA
Installation of new 12′ x 255′ timber pedestrian bridge supported by a helical pile system and approximately 400′ of new asphalt walkway performed for the City of Virginia Beach.
Fixed Timber Pier and Floating Dock for Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA
Construction of a 8′ x 80′ fixed timber pier and 12′ x 60′ floating dock for the ODU Women’s Crew Team at Lakewood Park in Norfolk, VA. Additional work included slope protection measures, the installation of a pier lighting system, wetlands planting and landscaping and a permanent gated fence.
Norfolk International Terminals, Norfolk, VA
Repairs to damaged wharf including replacement of 85′ long x 24″ square concrete piles.
U.S. Coast Guard Station at Yorktown, VA
Refurbishment of finger piers for U.S.C.G. TRACEN at Yorktown, VA. Including the driving of timber piles up to 90′ long, the wrapping of dolphins and other miscellaneous structural repairs.
Tuna Lane Beach Access for the City of Virginia Beach, VA
Installation of a public beach access walkway at the intersection of Tuna Lane and Sandfiddler Road in the Sandbridge area of Virginia Beach, VA. Included the driving of 30′ piles to support deck, stairs and ramp.
Rudee Inlet Fender System Replacement for the City of Virginia Beach, VA
Removal and replacement of failing timber fender system with new galvanized H-beams,timber piles, and timber walers. The challenge of the lack of headroom under the bridge was overcome by installing the H-beams in two parts utilizing an engineered splice.
Lake Tecumseh for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
Construction of a weir and boat portage system between Lake Tecumseh and Ashville Bridge Creek in the City of Virginia Beach whose purpose is to stabilize the year round water level in Lake Tecumseh.
Owl Creek Boat Ramp Pier and Wharf Repair for the city of Virginia Beach, VA
Drove 45′ piles and built new timber tending piers and wharf at the Owl Creek boat ramp on General Booth Blvd. in Virginia Beach, VA.
Munden Point Park, Virginia Beach, VA
Replaced tending piers at boat ramp at Munden Point Park, Virginia Beach, VA.
Pacific Avenue Trail Extension for the City of Virginia Beach, VA
A 1,300 ft. long x 12 ft. wide walkway/bike path over Lake Holly that completes an eight mile hiking and bike trail at the oceanfront in Virginia Beach, VA.
Little Island Park Fishing Pier at Sandbridge for the city of Virginia Beach, VA
This project involved the reconstruction of the fishing pier. The pier did not meet A.D.A. Standards and we were required to construct a new ramp to the pier and also a ramp to the beach that are handicap accessible.
Jericho Ditch – Great Dismal Swamp, Suffolk, VA
This project involved diverting the flow of a live stream to construct a weir that would control the water elevation. Controlling the water is very important to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in the Dismal Swamp, as this is their main protection against fire during the summer months.

Bank stabilization and bulkheads for numerous lakes around the Kempsville Greens Golf Course in Virginia Beach, VA.

Repairs to the concrete pilings on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel
Kingsmill Properties
Constructing timber bulkheads at various locations around the Kingsmill Properties in Williamsburg, VA

Constructing a pier for the Environmental Research Center at the University of Virginia, Oyster VA.

Constructing a retaining wall for a stormwater detention pond at the new City of Portsmouth, VA Library
VDOT, Franklin, VA
Installing EP-5 and waterproofing parapet walls on Route 58 bridges near Franklin, VA
Ocean View for the City of Norfolk, VA
Dune reshaping and replanting, Ocean View, City of Norfolk, VA
York River State Park, Williamsburg, VA
Installation of a watertight cofferdam to construct a water control structure. Piping from this structure was routed through the dam to discharge into the river. 300′ of riprap was also installed across the back side of Woodstock Dam to prevent further erosion
Cape Charles Fishing Pier and Walkways for the City of Cape Charles, VA
Installation of a 400′ pile supported, handicap accessible, fishing pier. Structure included walkways, lighting, and covered sitting areas.
Cable Laying at the Coleman Bridge
Extended cable across York River from Gloucester, VA to Yorktown, VA.
Ocean View Outfalls for the City of Norfolk, VA
Installation of 5 ductile iron pipe outfall extensions on pile supported foundations. Extensions extended under the beach area into the surf.
